MANILA, The Philippines — Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs has intensified. The sudden increase in the number of drug addicts alarmed the president. Duterte said a million more drug addicts had been added in less than six months totaling to 4 million.

According to a Social Weather Station (SWS) survey conducted on December 3-6, 2016, 85% of Filipinos expressed their satisfaction with the president’s campaign, and 78% of them feared that they could be legitimate targets of extrajudicial execution. Suspected drug addicts are enemies of the state.

A time traveler from the not so distant future named Chrysostom Ybarra was puzzled by the survey. “How could you support a government policy and at the same time fear for your life and safety?” he asked.

“If you know that your life or the life of someone you know will be in danger because of that government program there’s no reasonable justification for your support.”

Last month, Ybarra interviewed the president aboard the jet of Apolo Quiboloy. At first, Duterte had mistaken the time traveler to be God. “I’m not God,” Ybarra reportedly told the president. “In my world, God is nonexistent.”

“Do you mean I can be God in your world?” Duterte asked.

“No,” Ybarra replied. “In my world, you would be killed because of the crimes you have approved and committed.”

Duterte was mad at Ybarra that the time traveler was kicked out of the jet. But Ybarra has landed safely — thanks to Darna for the help.
